What a ridiculous question. I personally don't watch it because I have no interest in it whatsoever, but what about watching it could possibly be wrong?

I have never watched the show, but from what I hear, it's a talent show for people who society has determined as "pretty." Plain people, talented or not, don't stand a chance. Contestants who lose suffer absolute humiliation of national TV. Winners are called "idols" which literally means that America is supposed to worship them.
Whether you're religious or not, isn't this show wrong on so many levels that your question is thoroughly answered?

Hell yes. There is so much wrong about that show.
Especially the cruel bits where they just mock people who are hopeful and deluded about their abilities.
In 20,000 years, when they ask why our civilization failed, "American Idol" will be exhibit A.
