You cannot if you are going to show him in conformation. Conformation is an evaluation of breed stock, so if the dog has been fixed it cannot breed. You can show it in obedience, agility, any other type of show that is not conformation.

No, you cannot. However, if you have a dog and are thinking of not neutering him in the VERY unlikely event you will show this dog, please think again. As I alluded to, you most likely will never show your dog. Why? Because people who show dogs are also breeders and trainers. They select only the best of the best. Often a breeder will keep the best pups in a litter for himself if he also shows dogs, and sells the others. Dog showing also is very expensive. Not only do you need a wonderfully well trained and behaved dog (which costs $$ for that type of training), but you need to do all the work and pay all the costs for showing the dog. This can be expensive.
So no, a fixed dog cannot be shown, but please neuter or spay your pets. We do not need more dogs in this world (I only wish we could neuter and spay some people).

The only place you can't show a dog when it is spayed or neutered is in Conformation (as the purpose of this type of showing is to prove the dog is a good BREED SPECIMEN that will pass on great genes). You can show in Obedience, Agility, Flyball, Herding, on & on...which is actually a great benefit, as your dog will not be distracted by hormonal changes.

You can't show your dog in the breed ring, where the breeding stock is being measured against other examples of breeding stock.
But if your dog is registered in the sanctioning organization of a competition event (such as AKC Obedience, Agility, Rally, etc) your dog can compete.

Purebred dogs that are neutered are not eligible to be shown in conformation ( beauty) classes but they are eligible to participate in obedience, tracking, agility, rally obedience, herding and lure coursing, depending on the breed. At specialty shows ( these are shows for one breed only) neutered dogs and spayed bitches over seven years old can be shown in the conformation class of veterans ( for dogs 7 and older only)

no they caint be. Spayed or neutered dogs are not eligible to compete in conformation classes at a dog show, because the purpose of a dog show is to evaluate breeding stock.

You can't show a dog that is fixed. You have to look at the breed standard at www.akc.org because there are other disqualifications

In major shows you can't as the whole purpose of the show is to determine the best dog and then pass on its genetics to the next generation. Not sure about smaller shows.

because of the fact the ingredient of exhibiting a dogs is that it is the desirable of the desirable for it is breed. that's placing the breed prevalent. the ingredient of breeding is to get the desirable of the breed prevalent. Taking the desirable of the desirable and breed them with the desirable of the desirable to get a great extra effective offspring. this is the ingredient of exhibiting dogs interior the 1st place so as because of the fact of this the show dogs are not fixed, they're used to make extra effective destiny show dogs. a great breeder could in basic terms be breeding their dogs with champion dogs. while you're an AKC breeder you are able to fulfill particular standards to reproduce your dogs. yet they do certainly have shows for altered dogs as properly, many in actuality.
