Hyundae Beach near Pusan is better than Songdo Beach - nicer hotels, cleaner, etc. There are a number near Pohang on the east coast. Korea has done a good job in cleaning up beaches in the past few years. I was responsible for sanitation inspections of bathing beaches in Korea in the early 1980s, and many were dirty and polluted. Most are now OK. In the southwest, there are a few beaches near Masan. In fact, there is a large indoor swimming area just outside Masan (Bukak Hawaii). There are fewer beaches on the west and south than on the southeast and east coasts.

I dont know about the southwest but Pohang has about 15 beaches but the best most popular beach is Hyundai In Busan they say in august when all the students are on vacation that you can go there and if you were to fall down you wouldnt touch the ground!

Korea has soooooooooooo many nice beaches everywhere along the east and south and west coast.
East part-Joo-moon-jin. or Kyung-po-dae.
West part- An-myun-do(It is acutally island).
Sotuh- I want to explore more. Haven't been there yet.
My best favourite beach is in Jejoo island. Don't remember name though. It was emerald beach....

There are many beautiful beaches in Korea such bas in Pusan and in Cheju island.But don't swim there!Hehehehe....
