i really don't want to join a club as I enjoy my own company and don;t want to be dictatetdto by old fogies. can anyone tell me where i can get public liability insurance for model aircraft independantly without joining a group. i want to be legal and ghave checked with the CAA guidlines for aiecraft and my trainer plane is fine because it is under the 7kg weight limit so con anyone advise please.

The aeromodelling magazines like..
"aeromodeller" ,"Model flyer international" etc.. have adverts for 3rd party public liabilty insurance for model flyers...


I think (in the UK) that the "British Model Flyers Association"

Might provide insurance to none member model flyers???, I don't know how much the policy is...

Join the club for the insurance but don't go to the old fogie meetings
