If you are a US citizen you can apply for your passport at your county clerk's office, post offices, and some other places such as some libraries.

The cost of a passport is $97. $67 is for the passport and excution of the passport is $30.

You will need to fill out a passport application and have a *certified* copy of your birth certificate with the signature of the county registrar. You will also need to have your photo taken. You can get passport photos at Walmart, Costco, Kinkos and other places.

You can usually get Passport Applications from the County Clerk or directly from the U.S. State Department and several other places. Current price is approximately 65-70.00 and are good for 10 years. You will need your original birth certificate or a state-issued copy.

Check this website - and Google passport..you will find all the information you need and even the applications that can be printed out.
