If you.believe in Poe, and he exists, you get to be Montresor. If you believe in Poe and he does not exist, you lose nothing.
If you do not believe in Poe and he exists, you will be Fortunato. If you do not believe in Poe and he doesn't exist, you lose nothing.

Isn't it better to believe in Poe? You do know what happened to Fortunato, don't you?

If you believe, then okay, if you don't then you don't. Pretending to believe is not believing...hell it not even delusional.
