No. According to the most recent 2006-7 reports cancer rates in the US are declining:

The official statistics are intentionally misleading. The reporting stations now treat people who have cancer but actually die of something they got because of the cancer--say, a stroke, heart attack, kidney or liver failure, for instance--as deaths by something other than cancer, even though the cancer caused the complications that killed the person.

Confused? If cancer spreads to the liver, for instance, and the liver is the first thing to fail, and the person dies, the cause of death will be reported as liver failure. It seems to be unimportant the the organ failed because it was full of cancer.

Technically, the cancer treatment is considered a success because the person died of SOMETHING ELSE. This practice is reprehensible, and most people would call it a big, fat lie.

This has become standard practice, and is the real reason that official cancer numbers are improving.

The AMA is misreporting on several fronts. There was just a news story 2 days ago in which the AMA 'analysed' the 'conclusions' of 68 non-related studies and 'claimed' that vitamins A and E, and Beta-Carotine, 'may actually' SHORTEN people's lives. That's preposterous, and I am embarrassed for them and their clumsy attempt to mislead and manipulate the American public--but it goes on every day of the year.

They just said it in such a mealy-mouthed way that they could deny it later, but their brainwashing message was clear, and their propaganda against natural supplements is going strong.

We are distracted in so many ways in our daily lives that it's almost impossible to spot all the deception that big business bombards us with. Best of luck.

Its funnny...Because cancer rates are on the rise....Our tax money and donations are also on the rise, but the "cure" rates never went up. We are all spending money for all this chemo crap. I have to be honest and say that I am a bit angry. I lost 4 people to cancer. And they keep pushing that chemo crap into people. They say, your family member has 3 months to live. And if we push the chemo into him/her, he/she might live up to 2 years. Or may die right away. So what kind of medicine is this? But, may live for more years after that, if we kill the cancer before we kill him/her. OMG, so we shoot radiation everywhere. And if you are lucky, you live. Because the radiation also kills your body cells along with the cancer. But most of the time, there are less cancer cells then your body cells! So, you have to damage yourself further to have a "chance" to survive? Sounds like a hit or miss crappy medicine to me. They made it up and we canot complain because some people get lucky. But after chemo, you cant live for more then 5 years anyways. The chemicals that they give you is more then enough to kill anyone and anything that moves.
This is the reason why I never donate to cancer foundations. And I feel sorry for the people in there who try their best to volunteer, or work there, hoping that donations will help find a cure. If I didnt know this, I would be volunteering too. The problem, is that this money goes to researching a cure for cancer. Well, there safer and more effective cures. But, we cant do that. We have to find some drug thats expensive so that the medical community can make more money. What about the dying people? And the FDA forces these other natural remedies to put stuff on their bottles if they want to sell them. They have to say that their medicine is only vitamins, supplements, etc etc. Why? So that nobody will attempt to buy it when they need it. Would you buy something like that when you have serious cancer? See? The label says its only for vitamins, etc, etc. Their deadly cure can say that its FDA approved, but the real stuff cannot even say that it's a medicine. I dont think its fair that they do this, but what can I say?

Yeah, it is scary, my dad died of cancer. It is because the world is getting older and as technology is better it is putting a bigger threat on our world.

It might appear that way, but actually cancer numbers of many organs are lessening. The reason you hear about them more is more people are gettng them diagnosed early..such as breast cancer and colon cancer.
