There is a great deal a good clubmaker can do with off-the-shelf to make them fit you better - shaft adjustments, shaft replacements, clubhead lie adjustments, etc. Some will depend on what clubs you're looking to have adjusted - at least that will define what is possible to do.

However, some things can't be done - if you're looking to have a standard set of clubs fit you and you're 7 ft. tall, that's just not going to happen easily.

Start with your club pro or a local clubmaker and see what they say. You may not have to go full custom from scratch at all.

Best to you.

I dont know what kind of clubs did you buy..

if they are cheap type...i wont go for custom fitting (you might find that more expansive than your own clubs)

however, if you bought expensive clubs (like over US$400.00) custom fitting would be a good idea.

i started with a set of RAM clubs, and after a few months playing i bought a set of Taylormade R7 CGB Max...and i took them to adjust them to my hight and swing
regards..

You can have a club fitter look at your clubs. There are some changes that can be made to them. You can go to www.playgolfamerica.com and check out the club fitting logo. I think April they are doing a program where they will check your clubs for you for free.
