to not be able to lose any weight. I did an experiment with myself; I used to run 5 miles a day just to keep in shape. I dropped down to 130 from about 135. I did that for about 4 years. I have stopped doing that because of college and work, I work out 4 days a week but not as hard, but I still weigh the same? I have weighed the same for 5 years, is it possible for your body to stop losing weight?

My body type is the same. I have muscular legs from running but my waist is extremely small.
My body fat stayed the same too at 15%

Yes, that happened to me, you have reached a plateau. It sucks I am overweight yet consume 1000 calories a day I burn off more or the same some days.

I have been for tests to see if I have an underactive thyroid, but I am fine, the doc reckons I am very healthy, and there is nothing to worry about (I am 155 pounds at 5ft2"...)

I have seen a few docs about this, and have been told I am rich in muscle, though this is hardly a consolation for wanting to lose another 2 stone.

Good luck xx

That is good because you are keeping your muscle up and your body fat down. I haven't changed weight in 4 years even through working out ect but I have lost cms.

They say if you are older like 40+ yrs and you still weigh the same as you were in your 20s and don't do any excercise then its very bad cause as you get older your muscle reduces and your body fat goes up and muscle weights more then fat, so therefore it means your body has gained alot more fat and has lost its essenital muscle.

It also depends on what you are eating and if you're eating the same as you were 5 years ago, because to lose weight you have to burn off more calories than you eat. Though some people like anoerexics, once they start eating properly again tend to gain weight and their bodies hold on to it incase it goes into starvation mode again even when they are working out alot - I knew a girl like that.
