I don't deny Hitler was a Christian. I think its that we Christians don't want responsibility for his actions.
Just as many Muslims don't claim terrorist.
It's not about what whether or not he was a Christian, it's about the doctrine he followed- there are precious few Christians that believe Hitler represented their beliefs and truly represented what the bible speaks of.
Hitler called himself a Christian, no one can deny that unless they are blind to history- but just as millions of other people that commit heinous crimes for the sake of their "God" or "Religion".

Many are called but few are chosen, sir.

Just because someone claims they "believe" does not a Christian make. Even the demons believed. Belief is not faith, nor is being baptised or participating in other sacraments without underlying faith.

Faith commences with the conviction of the mind based on adequate evidence; faith continues in the confidence of the heart or emotions based on conviction, and faith is crowned in the consent of the will, by means of which the conviction and confidence are expressed in conduct.

Key points:
Conviction of the Mind
Confidence of the Heart
Consent of the Will
Conduct of the Body

As you can see from the above, faith affects the whole of a person's nature. Belief is not enough. Faith without works is dead, just as the fig tree cursed by Christ when it did not bear fruit. By a Christian's fruit you will know their true nature.

Hitler's "fruit" speaks to his true nature, just as the actions of non-believers such as Stalin speak to the over 100 million that were killed from his purification of Russia in the name of godlessness.

Please do more studying and research before you bank your eternal life on something. It will be time well spent.

These same people would probably also deny that the Crusaders were Christian.

The Crusaders slaughtered Jews and other heretics on the road to Arab lands where they invaded Arab lands and slaughtered Arabs.

The perpetrators may not have been "real" Christians, but they were certainly products of the Christian culture! Hitler didn't slaughter all those people by himself -- who was it that helped him? Muslims?

Anyone who could kill people out of nothing but ignorance and hate is not a Christian. A Christian is someone who tries to follow the teachings of Christ.

It doesn't matter whether or not Hitler was a Christian. He is not in any way, shape, or form a representative of ANY religion, Christian or not. He represented only himself and his obsessive hate. He was a monster. Period.

I never heard that implication. Everyone knows that Hitler CLAIMED to be Christian and used the Catholic hierarchy to further his ambitions.

you say it's a lie. and Christian is a general term. you're thinking of Christendom (anything associated with Christ being holy in some way) anyone who hasn't accepted Christ as their Lord and savior, repented, and is a continual state of faith and love for God is not Christian.

How was he a christian? Is there any way, shape, of form of Christianity that Adolph followed? Being part jewish by birth does not qualify anyone as being Christian.
