How could animals have survive if they didn't have everything right in the beginning?

It is a deception that is brought on by satan. He feels that if he can distort the truth, then won't near as many people give the glory where it belongs and that is with the Almighty God. he(satan) is a deceiver. He was from the very beginning and he still is today. That is why we should all read and study the Word of God so that we may become wise to his devices. May God Bless U.

Go ask this in the science forum. You will be answered accordingly. It's not fair to ask a bunch of English majors like the guys here. Or, take a look at a microscope. See how every year the flu virus changes and you need a new flu shot? The flu virus evolved. It's simple: The ones that can survive less efficiently (have harder time surviving) as a group reproduce less (die more often). So the ones with succcessful traits pass them down. You have everything you need to survive even before evolving a great deal, but evolution is just a species getting better at surviving. This is a very brief explanation. Generally, people like you ask this because they are scientifically ignorant...crak open a textbook next time you're at the library.

I'm going to stare cruelly at this for a few minutes before I answer.

Primarily, there are several pressures that influence whether or not a group will survive. The environment, the predators, and sexual availability to name a few. Environments change a lot, for example, the savanahs of Africa used to be forestry. At the time of "basic," adaptations the "animalsm" were good enough.

Predators and prey have been in an ever-increasing arms race for hunting and defense.

And sexual availability is just bloody obvious.

Most people think it is, "Survival of the fittest," but the truth is that it is "Survival of the fit enough." Animals and other things are adapted for their niche, and lack of survivability occurs when the environments change, or new things are introduced.

Evolution is just another of many ideas about physical process which takes place in nature. There have been numerous ideas down through the ages. Some are still to be explored.

I find the discoveries of science, in most cases, very revealing and totally supportive of how God 'works' and what God is about. Yet the final impact of what is known, following present trails of research, is yet to be fully understood.

So how do I answer so you will understand? They believe in evolution because they still do not "know." Once you know belief is no longer necessary in that quarter. They believe because that is what they want to believe and it appears to be producing results that satisfy their position.

Many have put their personal world view into the basket of science and evolution. Their main argument in law is called the preponderance of evidence. That really means they haven't nailed it yet and it is still up to a jury. One of those jurors is me and one of them is you and there are many others and that upsets their elite belief system.

Many very serious scientists, students of nature, have been Christians and creationists. Science for them was a way of exploring the wonders of God. God or no, science for many has ceased to be a wonderous exploration and become a badge of proof for a personal world view. A view that all are expected to accept. Sounds like a religion to me. And it is.

I have always found God to be light years ahead and operating outside the box of human knowledge in any age. Stick with knowing the Author and enjoy the attempt to unfold the process. You will find yourself waiting, maybe with a few poets and little children, in the terminal of true understanding; when and if the scientists of this generation ever arrive.

Did it not say in the bible "And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven." in Gen-1:20. This is evolution and based on the conditions of the earth through time, animals adapted to those conditions. We are adapting right now and that's why certain animals are dying without any logical reason there than the ecology is changing and scientist are trying to breed them indoors.

This claim is an instance of the argument from incredulity. In all specific instances of this claim, there are ways for the organs and organ systems to evolve gradually. The idea that they could not evolve usually involves one or more of the following errors in thinking:

1. that organ parts appear suddenly. This seems to be an artifact of creationist thinking. Evolution, however, is not creationism; parts change gradually.
2. that organs less developed than what exists now must be completely useless. This is nonsense. A light-sensitive patch on the skin may not be as useful as the eyes we have now, but it is better than nothing. And just a little bit better is all that is required for the trait to evolve.
3. that parts must evolve separately. Coordinated innovation between parts of an organ or organ system is possible. Indeed, if the parts evolve gradually, it is inconceivable that parts that interact would not coevolve in such a way that changes are coordinated via natural selection.
4. that parts do not change function. Many organs do not start from nothing. Rather, they start as a part that serves a different function and gradually gets co-opted for a new function. For example, tetrapod legs evolved from fins.

THEY ADAPATED, why do christians believe that thier book is moral ethical and scientific fact, it is totally untrue, we are at a standstill, evolution is winning, and the creationists are de evolving. A news report documented a four legged duck, and a chimp hunting food with a spear, both signs of evolution, you lose christians. God is laughing at you.

Sorry to advise you of this, but not only is evolution true, it is a proven fact, so any criticism of it is necessarily idle. As for having everything right, H. sapiens is quite an adequate example of things that aren't right; have you ever had appendicitis? Toothache? Measles? Cancer? Macular degeneration? Lou Gehrig's disease? Myasthenia gravis? Obviously, I need not go on.

People that do not believe in a God creating everything use science to explain why we are here. Some actually do believe in God and claim that he is just a "divine watchmaker" They believe that he made the things on earth and then we took over and figured out how to work it. A watch doesn't work by itself unless someone makes it.

They didn't survive - that's the point. Animals, including man, have adapted and 'evolved' over the years to make survival easier. If you didn't adapt, you died. How many extinct animals are there? Belief in God and belief in evolution can co-exist. I am a Christian and I believe in evolution.
