Diabetes, obesity, tooth decay, and heart attacks--yum those taste GREAT...can I have another? These also lead to an increase in Health Care costs/Health-Dental Insurance and laziness--which hurts the economy. Heck obesity has even been known to break up marriages, social rejection, and low self esteem. And what diabetic likes carrying around their 'crap'?

Thank you! I have been quiet for soooo long. The words "morbid Obesity" is the first line under secondary causes on my mothers death certificate.
Do you remember when there was that rediculous lawsuit against the fast food chains? Here is my opinion on that.
I think that if a bartender can off a drunk from drinking in his bar after he's clearly had enough and if something happens he can be held liable, maybe the clerk at the 7 eleven or the fast food place can refuse to sell a candy bar or extra large french fries to someone who "has had enough"
"I am sorry Ms., I can't sell you that Burger with extra french fries, We can clearly see that you have had enough. You might develope severe health problems and then try to sue us later."
Well unfortunatly its not going to happen.

How do extra advantageous expenses that are paid via the purchaser harm the economic equipment? it fairly is putting extra funds into the economic equipment quite of into fee reductions. the reason it is going to no longer be able to be unlawful is we are a rustic that values freedom of decision. basically because of the fact others make undesirable selections on your opinion would not cause them to incorrect. My grandfather lived to be 89 years previous(died from a difficulty from breaking a hip falling off a horse) and ate Beaverbrook two times an afternoon on a daily basis. You cant tell me that outlawing fatty ingredients would have made hime stay to one hundred. BTW he additionally enjoyed bread dough fried in lard and smoked little cigars. How would you like it if somebody desperate that your fashionable nutrition could be outlawed? would you basically kick on the floor and say "its for the good of the rustic"? Or would you get up and protest? What qualifies you to assert your smarter than the rest persons so which you're able to be the single to let us know the thank you to stay our lives? What you're suggesting is comparable to incrementally getting rid of our liberties. basically stay your very own existence and end aggravating approximately me. BTW i'm heavier than I could be yet I carry good scientific insurance. Its the fee to pay for ingesting that pizza each and every Friday.

you may want to think a little deeper about that question. do you really want to give the "government" the ability to decide what we can and can not eat? where does it go from there? for the most part once certain liberty's are taken away from the people they will never be returned. do you ever notice how politicians are always adding new laws instead of changing the ones that are not applicable any longer or that make no sense?

human beings have free will. this is one of the many things that makes us the most intelligent lifeforms on earth.

As a democratic country people have the right to be fat or not fat. Governments should not have the right to take away our options. Lets say the government wanted to make all forms of sport illegal because it created accidents and segregation between teams and spectaors. People wouldnt be happy with this. And this is why it cannot be illegal. Although you point is a good one I feel the choice is left in our own hands when it comes to our health

This is crazy! Why stop there? Why not make it illegal to snack between meals or eat after 8pm. How about taking everything off the grocery shelves that isn't low-fat, low-sodium, low sugar and anything else the government has labeled bad for you. I think people need to start taking responsibility for their own lives and health and quit expecting the government to do it for them. If you think it's bad for you DON'T eat it. But me, I'm gonna continue eating what taste good and makes me happy. That's what freedom is and as far as I'm concerned we're losing to much of it.

Because this is a free country and people should be allowed to put whatever they want in their bodies as long as they know the possible consequences. Believe me the way insurance companies pay doctors they are hardly a strain on the economy.

You might as well try to outlaw stupidity. It's a matter of selfcontrol, and balanced eating. Besides if we outlaw all stupidity, our politicians would be taking up all the prison space.
