Doubtful. That ancient society has been attributed to many different countries, in many different times. They're antiquated and their usefulness is at an end.

David G, how can you not know what the Illuminati are? Even if only in passing by watching the movies. They're used constantly as a theme for entertainment.

They are said to be an ancient society. They are a conspiracy organization said to control and have their fingers into much of the doings of the world. They are in association with Freemasonry.

Recently the movie, The Da Vinci Code, associated people like Leonardo Da Vinci, and many of the Founding Fathers of the United States, with them.

The Illuminati ceased to exist almost as soon as their founder bit the dust. Indeed, they virtually died long before their founder went to the big conspiracy in the sky. There is ZERO evidence for their existence today.

Yes, but perhaps not known by that name. I do believe that there is a group of individuals in this world that because of their money and or position have a great deal of influence over what we see, hear, buy, sell etc. I wish I could say that I thought they were doing what they think is best for us, but in reality I think it is more likely that they are just doing what gives them more power and more money.
