You are his pack leader! I have 2 Goldens at my feet right now and I'm loving it.

Relax and know that your dog loves you. :)

How old is your dog?

Like the others said dogs are pack animals and you are the leader of the pack. They long to be close to in the same ways you wanted to be close to your pack leader (your mother and father) when you were growing up.

My dog is two now. He still wants to be near me constantly but he has his "big boy moments" where he's too cool to hang out with me. Just enjoy it because when it starts to not happen as much you will miss it.

it could be what the others said... they just like being close..
but if your dog always lays or sits on the same spot.. you should really check into it.. cuz animals can scenes when a person has cancer or a tumor and when you have a health problem.. im not saying thats what it is... but you should look into it...

that may be in the breed. diffrent dogs have different natural instincts. if u got it as a puppy then he or she will see you as a parent and just love you. plus i bet it sometimes left you a little something places. it just means that it loves you. if u start distancing urself then it'll get lonely but if u just make a little space by your side and put something in your lap when sitting he or she witll just lay there. just love it and be thankful to be loved so much.

Your dog is showing you the love that it really cares about you and wants to protect you and love you forever and as long as it lives.

Good dog, doing what good dogs do! You are his pack leader and he loves you.

Is this a problem? :)

Most of all you are your dogs protector and he knows it, he feels safe with you. That and he enjoys your touch and your smell, he loves you a lot. Give him plenty of deserved love back.
He is your best friend. Lucky you!

My shih tzu is sitting near me right now. She follows me wherever I go and I love it. I love her and she loves me. It's love, nothing more; nothing less.

it's sounds so good that means your bonding with your dog is so tight, but if you don't like this attitude you may put her in the cage
