Don't blame yourself - as for me I'm over it.
It such a shame that I HAVE to wake up when I'm not ready for it... I've tried nearly everything (for example that torture-like clock-walkabout :)
So: if I can't get up in time - I try to cope with it and get ready in 10 minutes instead of 45. It's my fault, so I take it
In other days: I have an alarm which has two mode: a regular turn off and a Sleepy-mode.
Sleepy mode means: if I have to wake up for example at 07.00, I set it at 06.40. It rings in every ten minutes, so I have 2 loopholes and even with an extra 10 minutes I could get up in time. And If I could get up at the first time - it's just feels great and your day starts good!

Somebody once said to me: if you couldn't get sleep that much worse! :)

Clearly, you are not motivated to wake, so you need to make changes in your life so that getting up is something you want to do-then you won't even need an alarm clock.
You said, "I have tried everything..." You sure? Have you tried going to bed three hours earlier then you do now?
Oh, and what you are eating will have an impact too.
Then again, if none of the above work, you may be ill-like chronic fatigue syndrome or the like...

Go to bed earlier and put the alarm clock on the other side of the room. Used to work for me when I was in the army.

I had the same problem ..what helped me more than anything was to get my husband to set the time on it faster than the rest of the clocks..that way when I got up I would actually be up earlier than i had meant to be. And if I slept late, most of the time I was just getting up on time and not knowing it..Another thing I did was get a couple alarm clocks and set them all different.

Hire a rooster!

Realistically speaking...if you want to get up but find you can't, you must be very tired. On some days, sleep until you really, really want to get up...really have your "nap out" and try to find out what your internal clock is telling you to do.

If you have a good sense of responsibility and want to do the right thing by your school and work, you should be able to wake up without anything waking you up unless you are sick or something.

Maybe you are a night person and need to have a job where you work all night and sleep all day...some people are like that. If that's the case...shoot and eat your rooster...You have to figure out your own body. Your body knows what it wants to do and your's wants to sleep in the morning. Are you getting enough sleep? Are you healthy? Are you eating right? Are you working a job that is suited to you?

I can relate. I'm a night owl. It is hard for us to adjust to a morning schedule, but a few of the above posters have some good suggestions.
Try to go to bed a little earlier each night, avoid caffeine 6 hours before bedtime, and don't watch television 2 hours before bedtime. Read a book or listen to soothing music instead.
Before going to sleep, write down all your concerns in a journal. It helps "turn off" the mind so you can have a good night's sleep.

Go to bed earlier and move the clock across the room so you have to get up to shut it off. Its your responsibility to get yourself up, so you need to find out what works for you.

Its very obvious for all the human beings to be lazy or take the easiest path. Even its nature's nature to take the easiest path:

for e.g:when water flows it takes the shortest route to its destination.

so, therefore i say if you want to get up early then you have to make your will power strong other wise no alarm clock can wake you.

GET RID OF ANY ALARM THATS NOT DOING THE JOB, OR HAVE A FRIEND CALL maybe call you at the desired time. You better change your attitude...I don't know why you have to get up.. but if you can't do this, resign respectfully from your job, grow up and CALL later, get an adults life...........
