The things I would add is a good snack like a power bar or a protein shake in between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner, than another snack after dinner. you don't want to greatly limit the amount of calories you have to much as this can be unhealthy. just check the ingredient labels carefully on snack bars as thees can contain things like partially hydrogenated oils (code word manufacturers use for trans fats) and look to avoid the sweetener High fructose corn syrup. but other then that what your doing sound fine. keep drinking lots of water.

You have the right attitude. Your diet is undercaloried, though. Half a turkey sandwich each for breakfast and lunch is not enough. Do you like eggs? Try this french toast breakfast:

2 eggs, no yolks (one yolk is equivalent to ~1 day's cholesterol intake)
2 pieces of whole wheat bread
1 fruit cut into pieces
cinnamon to taste

Mix altogether and cook in a no-stick skillet. It's fast and easy.

Eat a normal school lunch so that you have energy for the remainder of your school day and also enough energy to perform in your after school activities. You may also want to carry some snack food with you like veggies or fruits. Keep with your fluid intake, at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water throughout the day. Stopping by the water fountain for a quick drink between classes is good (not so much it sloshes around in your stomach).

30 pounds is a lot of weight to lose in a short period of time. An average weight loss of 2 pounds per week is good. 5 or 6 pounds as you desire is quite shocking to the body and should only be attempted under a doctor's supervision.

Good luck!

I don't think you're eating enough for breakfast and I don't think you should cut out carbohydrates altogether. I know the rumours say that carbs are bad but if you cut them out that's worse. As soon as you lose the weight and start eating carbs again you'll pile on the weight. Exchange the turkey sandwich for a healthy sugar free cereal which will slowly release the energy from the carbs giving you more energy during the day.
Good luck with the diet.

Sounds great! Your plan sounds like mine, but more structured, lol. I've lost 5 lbs in a month without structure, so you should do great! After reading a lot of stuff on this board, I really am impressed by you.

**added ** The turkey has fat in it. The apple or whatever fruit you have has sugar, and probably some sort of carbs. I think you'll be okay :-)

You need to add maybe two snacks to keep your metabolism going. Make sure you are at least consuming 1500 calories. Drink at least 4 more glasses a water a day. Your snacks ca be low fat yogurt or 1oz of cheese and crackers. You need to incorporate some calcium in your diet. It's okay to have a dessert maybe fresh fruit or jello with fat free cool whip. make it fun and fulfilling don't starve yourself.

You might need more food than that, depending on your age.

Try someplace like Weight Watchers, they give very specific info and ideas on what to eat based on age, height and current weight.

Thirty pounds by April is a really fast weight loss- may not be healthy. Check with your doctor and he/she can point you in the right direction.

You need to eat a little bit more for breakfast (and make sure you eat some fat in the AM esp. if you are in school), but altogether GREAT!

It sounds like you really thought about it. Good luck!!
