Do not be so gullible as to place American Muslims along the lines as their Middle Eatern counterparts. I would suggest you get to know some American Muslims before you ask such a question.

u didnot meet good muslims,
the good muslim show mercy and kind treatment for non muslims even if we believe that ur sinful but we are not the god we can judge anyone and say he/she is sinful or not,
try to find good muslims and i am sure that they will change ur opnion in muslim,
true muslims donot hate ayone even he hates them.

How many muslims do you know? I do not hate you or anyone else. And I agree that muslims that do hate the US should not be living here--they are being hypocrites. I dont know any muslim who actually thinks that way. No one should judge anyone else unless they are completely sinless themselves.
