I have old black and white pictures from a long time ago (1935-1950) they were taken from an old album. How can I get the black paper off of the pictures?l

It's tricky business to try to get old glue and paper off photos. Anytime you wet a photo, you risk ruining it.

I have lots of old photos too, and have been getting high quality scans of them. Then they are printed and saved to DVD.

Often the original prints are somewhat damaged and the image can be restored with Photoshop (or other photo editing software). Then I save and print the restored version.

If you really want the original prints, perhaps you could scan them first as a backup. Then work on getting the old album paper off.

Good Luck

Try Goobegone and a super soft toothbrush-
or take to a pro- if they are important.
