I am going on a Carnival cruise and was wondering what there is to do in Georgetown Grand Cayman or just fun stuff to do that is not a shore excursion.

The sad thing is that you won't have time to get to my favourite place, the Botanic Park. You'll just have a few hours ashore. Most people enjoy wandering about town, visiting the museum on the harbour front, looking at buildings such as Elmsle Church, the Library and the Post Office, which were built by a boat builder who only knew about boat building, so constructed the ceilings as giant upturned boats! There are plenty of shops and you can also wander through the square with the law courts, the assembly house and the monument marking the quatracentennial celeberations. You'll enjoy a visit to Seven Mile Beach, which is within easy walking distance of the Harbour, and you can take a bus up the road to explore further for a modest fare. You will not run out of fun things to do, I can assure you!

Snorkeling is great, just walking around is fun, and the ship tours are nice. The 7 mile beach is lovely, such beautiful water - $5 to get in, $5 for a chair, and another $5 for umbrella. But if you catch someone leaving as you're going in, grab their stuff!

Depends on what time of day you are there. We went on a
sunset sailing cruise that was beautiful, and the rum punch
was delicious but potent! But you will probably be there in
the daytime. A big thing there is to go to "Stingray City" and
snorkel with the stingrays. They creep me out, so I didn't do
it but my hubby did, and said it was fun.
