The best ways to stop snoring are.
1. Lose weight, this really is the most effective thing.
2. Don't drink alcohol or eat heavy meals before going to bed.
3. Sleeping on your side sometimes helps. If this is a problem sew a ping pong ball on the back of your nightwear and this stops you rolling onto your back.
4. There is a thing that you can buy to put on your nose that is supposed to help but it is expensive and I don't know anyone that it has worked for.

Sorry there is no simple answer.

Actually, snoring is caused by lack of oxygen at night. Its the body's signal to wake up or take a breath. However, you should probably go have a sleep study done and they will recommend some form of an oxygen mask or cannula's for when you sleep.

It is usually coonnected with breathing patterns. My mother has asthma and snores so loud. If you are very bad maybe you should check with your GP to make sure your breathing and lungs...etc are ok.You can buy a ring in boots chemist that is supposed to help combat snoring. Give your partner the wax earplugs that fit nicely into your ear they are brilliant. And otherwise snoring is very common, don't worry about it!

As a person who has to put up with a snorer tell your bedmate to either dig you in the ribs or pinch your nostrils together - that is how I achieve a few hours sleep each night - I have bought him all the different the products on sale and other than an operation there is nothing else that can be done

My father use to snore. Then he had to have stints put in his heart, and then of course loose weight, and after he lost weight he stopped snoring. They also found out while he was in ICU, that he had sleep apnea...so the weight loss stopped that as well.

Sleeping sideways....it helps you to open your air passageways. If that doesnt work try decongestant products that contain methol such as 'olbas oil'. This should help to reduce your snoring.

Avoid drinking alcohol, eating heavy meals at least 4 hours before going to sleep. Nasal passages can be kept clear using a humidifier, inhaling steam, nasal strips and nasal sprays. A continuous positive airways pressure (CPAP) machine may also help, but it is available only on prescription.More remedies
