I have panic/anxiety attacks where I have an adrenaline rush along with a host of other symptoms. What I notice is, after a bad attack, my body seems to calm itself down on it's own. What causes this calmness? Does the adrenaline/stress eventually drain from your system?

I myself have anxiety attacks and the fact is your body produces adreniline at an inappropriate and unneccessary time. That is what an anxiety attack is. Some respond by getting aggressive, others by becoming fearful. Your body only has so much adrenaline it can produce at any given time. Once you run out, you become tired and calm. A seratonine based med can help. Usually though there is a place or event that the attacks are stemming from that needs to be dealt with.

I always felt fatigued after an anxiety attack. My body just kind of wore itself down.....after having my muscles all tense and everything.

Kinda like if you tense up your leg muscles for a long time....then release the tension. See what it feels like....it exhausts that muscle. Makes it feel weak and tired.
