I have known this boy for eight years. I am only in middle school and I can't date until im 18. I am in love with him, and i think he likes me back but i don't want to mess our friendship. I have had a strong urge to kiss him, but i don't want to mess anything up!!

that's a tough situation. I also love my best friend, we have been friends for 12 years. but we both have children now, and he is in a committed relationship. we tried dating in high school, but a mutual friend told me that he had cheated on me. (which wasn't true, the friend just wanted to go out with me) So, eight years later, we still both love eachother, but there is always something that comes between us. When we were young we made a promise, that on his 30th birthday, we will get married, unless one of us in in a serious relationship. it will be interesting to see how it all works out. but dating your best friend is a touchy subject. because if you do break up, it causes a huge rift in your friendship. so good luck and tread lightly

well don't ask him but tell him how do you feel, trust me, if you are friends im sure he'll understand, telling him how do u feel will let you know if he likes you back, tell him all of this kinda problem because also of being your crush, he's also your friend, just tell him how do you feel and, well he will help you as a friend, think of him that they're two different people, one is your crush, and one is your friend, altough is only one, talk to the part of a friend tell all of this, he will understand, also tell him you dont want to mess your friendship with him after that talking

I have been in the same situation that your in now actually,and i ended up messing things up. I know you may be in love with him and such,but hun friendship is something that you never wanna get rid of. Keep on being his best friied,and if later on down the road you two bring up dating then that's ok. But dont throw away something that you may never get back!

just ask him, and say out of curiosity that u were wonderin, and if he asks y, tell him u heard a rumor goin around, play it safe until u know 4 sure, as for the can't date thing, u really need to talk to your parents about that. they are being too overprotective of you.
