My 14 year old son wants to legally change his name from Karl to "Cash-Money God". I don't understand the meaning behind it, we are well off but still. I understand why, I changed my name a few years ago to Super-King but thats awesome and bada s s. Should I let him do as he wants?

He's fourteen. Are you going to allow him to do something so life changing at that age? He should wait until he is of age when he can handle the legal work and pay for it.

If you allow this now, when he is older he will resent you for "making" him change his name.

This is the stupidest thing I have heard. Changing your names. Super-King sounds like a gas station that sells snacks and slurpies.

Hello! like father, like son..............Anyway, if he wants a name change, make him wait until he is 18 and he can do it himself. For now, it's most likely just a teen-age thing. That's what nick-names are for.
