I get in moods where I like to read about these different types of "sayings" and such. I would like to know the meaning of this one though. A few months back I asked about karma and gave my situation from one time. I was a bad friend to my friend, and a while later h found out about a few things and we are no longer friends after being friends for a long long long time. Is that the meaning of "What goes around comes around". Is it just another way of saying karma?(cause and effect)

Either way I learned my lesson. I was young and dumb and selfish then.

yes, also the judeo-christian you reap what you sow. most faiths/philosophies have some version of this.

for years i misheard a fiona apple song lyric as "but it's karma under the bridge" i loved that idea because it describes for me how sometimes those people have come back into my life after we both have done selfish things and it's good again anyway. even if we both "learned our lesson",never came back together but treated others more respectfully from that point on, i still think it would mean something that we can stop worrying on.

take care

Proverbs 26 says this:
26:27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.
26:28 A lying tongue hateth [those that are] afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
You see when someone digs or causes someone to fall God is SO intent that the person who causes this will themselves fall into a pit at some point and that is where we get that idea, In Matthew 25:34-46 we are told what ever we have done to some else we have done it to Christ Himself so be carefull God is watching YOU, find out more free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com bible questions www.bibleinfo.com talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

Yes. It is karma. What ever energies you send out are going to come back to you. Ever heard the saying that if you point a finger three fingers will point back at you? It's the same concept. You get what you give.

We are human and make mistakes.NO ONE is perfect. The saying what goes around comes around means the same thing as karma. but there is forgiveness by GOD if you ask.

Same as karma. The bible says it like this: "you will reap whatever you sow whether" whether it be good or bad.

I guess it all really means the same thing, but karma is suppose to go beyond death (i don;t really believe this though).

Came from the bible: "Do unto others at you would like them to do to you."
'Cast your bread on the water and it will come back to you twice fold."
"You dig a pit you are the one most likely to fall into it."
Many more scriptures that say similar stuff.
So people just put it all in to one saying.
"What goes around comes around"
In other words if you do it to someone most likely someone will do it to you.
"Make sure you words are sweet because when they come back you may have to eat them"
