Please, please consume more than 500 calories a day!!! As a senior nutrition major in a university I want to tell you that it can be highly dangerous for any person to consume less than 1000 calories a day! If you are physically active you may even need more calories for energy. But if you are trying to loose weight the cardio will help and help you feel more energetic. If you really feel like you need to go on a reduced calorie diet to loose weight you should see a doctor and diet only under professional supervision. If you want some more information on healthy ways to loose weight try some of these web sites: www.mypyramid.gov, www.eatright.org, or www.usda.gov. Please consider this.

Consuming a mere 500 calories a day will promote rapid weight loss but is one of the least safe you can do to lose weight. The adverse health effects you will gain will only be worsened by the amount of exercise you are planning on doing, you see you need calories to actually burn if you're working out!

Do not even think about doing this, it will slow your metabolism down immensely and cause a plethora of other adverse health effects.

it depends on how many calories your body naturally burns.

Calories eaten - Calories used=total calories

so

500 - (however much your body uses in a day through heat and digestion and basic moving) - strength training - cardio=definately a negative number.

If you were to do this, I think you'd lose about a little less than a pound everyday.

But I wouldn't suggest doing this, because eventually you'll lose weight, yes, but very slowly, not to mention you will be losing muscle. So your metabolism will DROP drastically.

Too much...you would be starving yourself. Your body would suffer. You would lose muscle as well as fat, and you would see rapid weight gain once you resumed a normal eating plan. And you just might possibly die while on this ill advised plan. 2000 calories a day will give you the results you need. Your body burns about 3000 calories a day just living...so add the exercise to that mix and you can lose 2 to 3 pounds a week with not problem.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

it all depends on how much you weigh what your body mass index is and what your 500calories consumed are from per day. anyway its quite dangerous i recomend to consume 1500kcal per day up your cardio to 500-750kcal per day you'll loose weight and then put on muscle this is a proven fact

how many days do you intend to do this. You see, the amount of weight loss will be increased for each day you do this, and your health will be worsened for each day you do this.
