Because of the whole 9/11 thing for starters?
Basicly, action speaks louder than word.
When some nutjob did something bad, the whole organization is judged, that is what happening to Islam right now.

Firstly, Muslims are not considered bad... Using the single word "Muslims" infers that you mean the WHOLE of the muslim comunity... And clearly, the vast majority of muslims are decent, kind and honest people.
There are those radical muslims, or mulsim extremists who see the west as a threat to thier way of life and will stop at nothing to casue harm to our way of life, bu these are the exceptions to the rule, and not the norm.
Unfortunately, as you can see from your first response, not everybody is able to see the difference... And it's those closed minded individuals who seem to think that a few bad seeds must mean the whole is bad and it's they who would have you believe that "All muslims are bad"... Utter rubbish.
Muslim Extremist are bad. No doubt there... They threaten and kill in the name of ideals. Then again, wouldn't a christian extremist who did the same be just as "evil"?
Anyway, long story short, Muslims are no more bad than any other part of the world's comunity... Extremists of any kind are bad, and it's the muslim extremists that tend to get the most coverage in the news... Just try and keep an objective head and don't judge the whole by the actions of a few misguided nut jobs and the world might just get a little better...

This is getting old. Muslims are consider bad based on what? Take a survey on the street and you will find that most Americans do not consider them bad. We just don't carry signs, make speeches, etc. proclaiming that "Muslims are not bad". Just as whenever the KKK has a rally everyone hears about it on the news....and their number of members has never been lower. The news reports the murders in the city first, if time permits they do a short piece on the good Samaritan that day, but they make time for the murder. It's called sensationalism.

There are considered bad because there are plenty of people who hate Muslim...
They hate Muslim just because they dont know what was the true part of Islam..
Thay hate Muslim thus automatically the Islam was get affected...
I dont say there were not peoples who still considered Muslim as a tolerance and nice group but in reality there was events that many people considered Muslim's bad...
Who us to say that other peoples was bad while we dont recognise them thoroughly...
Just look at ourselves, are we GOOD ENOUGH?
The truth will come soon or later to proof that Muslim was not a bad group...Everyone should unite and dont get even a slight hatred in the heart...

Pretty much because of the actions of the Al-Qaeda and Shi'a regimes. These groups (along with a few other smaller groups) have convinced their followers that the way into Heaven is to declare a "Holy War" (which they have dubbed a "Jihad") against "infidels" (anyone who is not a Muslim). And unfortunately, the Sunni, who are closest in beliefs to True Islam, oppose these leaders, and have also become targeted by them as "infidels." These leaders are more interested in political gains than their love and praising of Allah, and as such will only find a place in Hell for eternity, as will all the followers who have followed them astray.

I guess what happened in terrorism around the world doesnt help. The same when Christians started wars in history. Or when the Nazis ruled Germany. I've had people greet me with Heil Hitler, because I'm from Germany, but I have nothing to do with the Nazis, on the contrary. I'm ashamed of this part of german history. So, one person of a certain group causes damage, and people, in general, relate it to the entire group. That's not wise or right.

People are getting a bad portrayal of islam lately. What islam is shown as is a violent, women oppressing, hateful, intolerant religion. Although the true meaning of Islam is just the opposite, some of islam's followers are being very bad representatives of the religion and unfortunately they are much louder than peaceful ones. I'm a muslim and feel trapped in this stereotype of islam which is nothing like what islam really is.

Muslims are considered bad because of how they are viewed in the media. What we see in the news are the actions of the minority, the radicals, NOT true practicing Muslims.

Because they have oil, and now are fighting against the invaders of their countries. The word bad is used by the CIA and the oil companies servants.
