Nope. All you can do is learn to accept yourself as you are and grow on the inside. Height is controlled by the pituitary gland. You cannot manipulate this with exercise. next time choose taller parents..that is really all we can do.

You're only 14 so I wouldn't worry just yet. You don't say if you're male or female - a lot of boys at 14 won't have had that spurt where they seem to grow inches overnight! I'm taller than I was at 14 by a lot, and I'm female, so the same can be said for girls.
Best thing to do is maintain a good, balanced healthy diet, make sure you're getting enough calcium amongst other things. If you're female, certainly don't worry about being short - you'll see it as an advantage for being cute when you're older! And even if you're a guy - loads of women like shorter guys (like me!)
Always remember, best things come in little packages.
Most of all, remember your height doesn't really matter. Apart from being healthy, there's not a great deal you can do to increase your height, and unless you're a real real midget, I doubt your doctor will consider the expense, pain, time etc to lengthen your legs.
Just be happy with who you are sweetie.

All the advice given so far is good, but please look further than stature and rise above this need to be taller. Develop an electrifying personality, which your peers will respect, and in a way, will envy.
So much is placed by the media on the need to be physically perfect, and sadly part of this, especially in the fashion market, can endorse greater height and less weight!
If you have been born to be short, then be proud, and show the world you're a winner! Good Luck!

hey, dont worry. Im short too.
Im 15 years old and im 157cm(5 foot 1) and I've had tests and everything possible to find out if i can grow anymore.
I had the hand xray test and according to that, im not going to get any taller, my bones have fused and they are the age of a 17yr olds.
Theres nothing i can do about my height, i went to see a pediatrition last week and he just thinks im going to be a short person.
Theres only 1 option i have and that is to take hormone growth tablets, but that isn't necessary and there are side effects.

I would like to be talleer, but im not :(

How old are you? and whats your height?
if your concerned like i was, go and see a doctor and go from there
:)

Really depends how old you are...?
If you are over 21 then no! but if not then you are still growing so drink milk, lots of water and eat meat and veggies and carbs BASICALLY A BALANCED DIET and you might get taller. I gained two inches between the age of 18 and 22 and i thought i'd stopped growing.

Good luck shorty ;-) xxx

If you're 14 then you will grow...just eat right and don't smoke.

You may well still have some growing to do yet. Boy this is a common question!

There is nothing you can do about your final height. Provided your diet is well balanced your height will be determined by your genetics and be directly related to the height of your parents.

Whatever height you end up matters less than you think.

At your age you still have a lot of growing to do. Even when you have reached your full height, there is nothing you can do to make yourself taller. Don't worry about things you can't change.

People are more concerned with how you treat them than how tall you are.

Trust me, you are going to grow. 14 - 15 is about the age that you are going to shoot right up. I know my son did! He's 6' 2" now!

There isn't a lot you can do as it is genetically determined. Just make sure you get plenty of rest and eat well.

At 14 you still have a lot of growing to do, so don't give up! And, by the way, some of the nicest people I know are short.
