Cheri, Your the Mother so when she does this say no not today grandma. If she insists on doing this talk with her alone and explain how you feel. Tell her you want her to be part of their life, but that she should respect you enough to know when to stop. You don't have to be mean toward her, just be honest about your feelings. Grandparents can be great asset to our children. Children can benefit from all the family, so keep that in mind when you talk with her. Have your husband to reinforce your decisions with also.

Nana probably spoils them and they have a great time. Instead of feeling inadequate and maybe jealous, be grateful they have a nana to enrich their lives. I never had one, and although it was rough in the beginning, I've learned to be very thankful that my kids have two grandmas who spoil them to death. They know things are different at our house, and that's ok. Tactfully tell nana that if you say no, there is a reason why and she needs to respect that. She'll be able to take them again soon.

Start planning activites and get the kids into playgroups or sports or something along those lines. If the children have busy schedules they won't need to go to grandmas for fun.

i think it is great that your children want to spend time with their grandmother and you should let them if she wants to spend time with them as well, she won't be around as long as you and you turned out as good as you are because of her so your kids can benefit from the time shared with her
