Surely God has a Purpose for us being we will live with him eternally. It is something so glorious it is not to be compared to this life.

No, because His Will will be done. He made humans. Where? Earth. Not Heaven. His will is for humans to be perfect (immortal) and live on a paradise ON EARTH. When we speak about paradise, we are referring to or have an image of the Garden of Eden. What the dickens are we going to do up in heaven? We are human! And I have not read anywhere that out of the thousands of ressurrections that Jesus did, he never once ressurrected somebody in Heaven. In actuality, if when people died and went to heaven, Jesus, by ressurrecting them, would have pulled them out of it. Why would he do that? And if all humans were to somehow become spirits in heaven, who would live on the earth? After Judgement day? It isn't logical. Just as it isn't logical there be a hell...well maybe for a control method and money...

This quote from Ellen white might be helpfull: Every youth should be impressed with the fact that he is not his own; that his strength, his time, his talents, belong to God. It should be his chief purpose in life to glorify God and to do good to his fellow-men. The Bible teaches him that he is a tree, on which fruit must be found; a steward, whose capital will increase as it is wisely improved; a light, whose bright beams are to illuminate the moral darkness that enshrouds the earth. Every youth, every child, has a work to do for God's glory and for the salvation of souls that are ready to perish. {HS 285.4}
God demands the improvement of every faculty he has given to man. Those who possess superior intellectual powers are thus placed under greater responsibility, and if this gift is so perverted as to make the possessor

forgetful of God and his claims, if he employs it to lead the minds of others away from God, he will have a fearful account to render in that day when every man shall receive according to his deeds. Every talent put to a wrong use is entered as robbery in the books of heaven. {HS 285.5}
Religion is our only safeguard. Knowledge is power for good or for evil, but it is only when balanced by religious principle that it is a power for good. To many, education means a knowledge of books; but “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” The true object of education is to restore the image of God in the soul. The first and most precious knowledge is the knowledge of Christ, and wise parents will keep this fact ever before the minds of their children. {HS 286.1}

I hope there's some kind of purpose. Existing for eternity with no purpose would be very boring.

Kissing God's feet while he sits on his thrown for all eternity is not my idea of a good time.

I know he does because the universe itself is so big and I believe it is full of life and he has plenty for us to do. I'm sure we have plenty to do for the rest of eternity. I don't think we'll just be lounging around Heaven with nothing to do. I can't imagine what we'll be doing but God is always busy so we'll always be helping him do something.

"But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with him in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus, in oder that IN THE AGES TO COME, He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:4-7)
Certainly as God has a plan and purpose for us in this life, He has a plan and purpose for us in eternity. Who can begin to understand the specifics of His plans? But the above passage gives us the assurance that whatever those plans and purposes are, they will all demonstrate the "surpassing riches of his grace in kindness" which He showed to us by saving us through the blood of his Son.

Evidently, people who go to heaven spend all their time in praise, so maybe their purpose is to bolster his self esteem.

Yes. It is my belief that in Heaven, Allah will ask us to pick out who else should be saved. Then that person will be brought to Muhammad (pbuh), so that Muhammad can prostrate to Allah for that person's forgiveness.

Apparently, you will spend all your time worshipping him. Sounds a bit too much like the old films you see of the Nuremburg rallies for my liking.
