if i take a bite out of them first. If i try to give him anything else he usually doesn't even take it but if he even takes it from my hand he will just throw it on the floor. Does anybody have any ideas for me? Maybe some food that they are known to like? Or a method i could use?

Birds are picky in this aspect, some like a variety of fruits while others have a favorite. They tend to always drop what you give them, so just get an extra dish for his cage and try cutting a few different fruits up, avoid avacodo because its very harmful, see what fruits he picks out the most and go from there. If he just likes apples then your stuck.

The reason your bird will only eat something you take a bite out of is b/c birds are like babies-if they see you doing something they will copy you. Variety is key! Chop fruit into different shapes and textures- ex: triangles, circles, etc. Try giving your bird carrots, apples, berries, bananas, grapes, greens, and any vegatble that is good for you. (Just avoid advocado.) Also try clipping food to the side of the cage with a clip you can buy from the petstore for this purpose. Hope this helps!
