I have been doing 100 sit-ups a day, but I still don't have six-pack abs. I still continue to eat poorly, though, and I know I shouldn't. But is there a better and faster way to lose my gut?

I saw an ad today, it said get on your hands and knees, arch your back, keep pulling your tummy in and hold for 10 seconds, and repeat. Apparantly it is supposed to work better than a sit up, as this trainer person said people do sit ups wrong. Worth a try.

Well from my experience with belly fat this is what I have to say...first doing Situps alone will NOT help, yes it will give you a six pack but if you still have fat over it, it will just make your belly stick out further. You can not spot reduce weight, you must do cardi two or three times a week, like a jog or jumping jacks and the most important thing to remeber when trying to lose belly fat is that you have to eat better. For some people, like you and I, the first place that food will go to is our bellies. I started by cutting a few bad things out of my diet, first pop and then Milk, I love milk but I just switched to organic, which is another great way to get in shape;eating organic. Then I switched from eating jusk food for snacks to fruit! I have always been thin but jus stuck with belly fat and I have lost it all! And remember it takes a lot of time, do not expect any miracles over night! Good luck!

No....sit ups do not burn enough calories. You have to remove that layer of fat between the muscle and the skin. A good diet and exercise ( a mix of cardio and resistance) is the only way to reduce this fat layer. You have to burn more calories than to take in. Fat is stored calories. There is no short cut , other that surgery, and this will not keep fat off if you eat poorly and do not exercise. There is no other way.

Doing crunches won't give you abs and with your current mentality I doubt you will. If you don't have the motivation to work for it, then you're not getting them. It takes a lot of dieting and cardio to burn off the fat that covers your abdominals.

The Equate diet drink helped me lose 30 pounds withiin a couple of months in '03. I haven't gained it back.

if you are not going to eat healthy, all the sit ups in the world aren't going to help you.make a commitment in your mind to do the right thing and it will start to work, stick with it,even if you don't like it.
GOOD LUCK..
