well your gonna need to get into alittle more detail than that. But i'll venture to say he is not stupid, he's just already been where you have and knows what its about and where it ends up. Now i'm guessing because I have no idea what the subject is, and if it is on something that he is uneducated about give him a break because I know and I mean I know there are tons of things you have absalutely no idea about and wont for a long time, and there be times when you say stuff that sounds so stupid and you'll probly never know because the people around you wont say anything and just be sitting there judging you like you are twords your dad, take it easy being judgmental is very ugly and a waste of time because i've come to learn that whenever I'm that way twords someone or something it never fails that eventually I end up experiencing it myself, in a sense its the same thing as what goes around comes around, and it does, good luck though Kim

I dont know if your meaning stupid as in dumb or stupid as if you dont like them. Its not really why is he so stupid, but more of what do I have to learn in life because of this. Everyone in the world is faced with there own problems. When people talk bout celebrities or someone who struck it rich, when they talk about the problems they are going through, of the ways they messed up, you have to look at it that they couldnt take care of there own problems in the the position they were in. Everyone is not giving the same opportunities. You have a dad some dont, some dont have houses, some dont have a brain that could about much, and alot have what you want. Your dad may be so stupid because you are going to be that smart or that stupid. That smart by analyzing the problem, and knowing where to go to find answers, how to get the things or knowledge that he cant provide. That stupid by looking at your dad as stupid instead of a person who didnt play his cards in that area. Life is like a casino. You choose what you want to do, no matter what you do your given cards or put in a game of chance. Its how you play your cards, or analyze the chances of losing in that game. How many games do you play. Do you keep playing the same game or do you go from roulette to poker.

dads are you best friends at times and yet they can be your worst enemies. You love them and sometimes you don't. The best way to deal with your anger is to right it out. Tell someone. Or you can put all your energy into a Punch and punch a pillow. Like I said, Sometimes you love ur dad soooo much and other times you can't bare the sight of him. In the end I think he'll understand you anger and you two will hopefully get to talk about the problem at hand.

Would it be because you are a teenager? And think you now know everything? I've lived long enough to have been the teen who knows it all and the parent who got soooo stupid. Now, I'm the grandma who gets to stand back and watch it all happening agian and just laugh.
But seriously, I'd like to tell you just one thing. No one loves you as much as your stupid parents. You'll have to have your own child to realize that but they really have your best interests at heart. You think they were put on earth to keep you from having fun but they are actually there to keep you alive long enough for the frontal lobe of your brain to develop around age 21 so that you can make intelligent decisions. I don't mean this as an insult to you, honey, but recent research has shown that your brain doesn't completely mature until that time. Meanwhile you do not have all you will have to work with later in life. That's why teenagers are iimpulsive and apt to get in to messes. You may be the best kid in the whole world but I was not and my kids were not either. That's why adults feel the need to try to protect you. If you were into all of that kind of stuff you would find you have a much higher chance of being killed in an accident and that is every parent's worst nightmare. We just love our children so much the things they do scare us to death. When they are small, we can hold them close to us and keep the bad things away most of the time but when you are older, we have to learn how to give you space to manage your own life. Since we made so many mess ups ourselves, we know you will too. Can you even imagine how scary that is for your dad? He remembers how he felt about girls at your age and is not something to make him feel good about letting you out in the world. The world you live in is even more frightening than the one he grew up with. Your dad is not a perfect person but you aren't either. Hopefully you will be when you are grown up and a parent but try to give old stupid a break. You might find out sometime in life how much he means to you. My kids dad and grandad died of cancer in December and they miss him so much. Let's hope old stupid lives long enough to hear you say he might just know something. Tell him an ex stupid parents says hi and to hang in there so his precious child makes it to adulthood.

Teenagers all think their dads are stupid but when you think you know more then he does and think that you can do things he can then talk to him but for now you are just a kid with issues, your dad probably won't let you go out or something and you think that he is stupid when hes not.

Probably because he doesn't exercise his skills and what he knows. As the years between the present and when he was in school increase, he will start forgetting more and more; thus giving him the persona of being stupid. If he were to try to use his math and language skills more often, the stuff he already knows will probably come to him.
