Let say a robot........The Terminator. Don't ask why I want The Terminator, I like the The Terminator therefore I chose The Terminator.....or Robocop.

...with artificial intelligent.

How does it feel like when it was first born, the first conscience and though? Is it comparable to ours?

Or how about when it "dies", when it's no longer functioning. How does it feel to not exist anymore? Is it like an eternal dreamless slumber?

I wonder......

What is your opinion?

Well this is the Spirituality section, I still can discuss the spirituality of the terminator.

I often wonder how a robot feels like.

If the brain is structured similar to ours I would think it will experience the same emotions we go through..

After it dies, no one knows.. lol

Perhaps there will be theistic robots in the future :O

Edit:
Yeah, I love that cartoon. hehe

you seriously want to discuss logic with 'the terminator'?

pass.

ps. robocop was a human brain in a robot body.

in the spirit of this section, was it self-aware and motivated to survive? Then it would fight non-existence like we do, but to guess whether emotions would come into play? I would venture not as our 'emotions' are complex chains of chemical/electrical interaction in the brain, evolved from simple flight/fight reactions and pain/reward mechanisms.

And to call 'not existing' an "eternal dreamless slumber" is a bit naive, because a slumber implies there is still a you that could, theoretically, still wake up.

When it came into being, it felt nothing. As it existed, it felt nothing. When it "dies" it is simply being deconstructed, and it again feels nothing.

I imagine it's last computation is along the lines of: "Critical Systems Error: Reboot or Shutdown?" or, if it was a natural deconstruction: "It is safe now to turn off your computer"

Sniffles, so sad.

Nothingness I guess. Not sure how it would feel not to exist but probably it couldn't feel anyway because there would be no awareness of anything.

that made no sense lol
