The song that you speak of is...

Our GOD is an awesome GOD. HE reigns from Heaven above.

This song is fabulous. Thank you for the reminder!

Your god or my gods? My Gods and Goddesses spend a lot of time laughing and hanging around us, disguised as travellers. Your god seems to be a bit pissy if you're of the christian persuasion. Or as my friend just told me "Our God is an Angry God. He attacks from heaven above."

Yikes.

Yes. They play the commercial for that Spiritual CD so much I don't know how anyone could not know the words at this point.

*But actually I knew it because I used to go to church.

Our God is a Jealous God.
Ex 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God,
Ex 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
De 4:24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
De 5:9a Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God,
De 6:15a (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you)

Also, He is a holy and righteous God:
Jos 24:19a And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God;
Ps 7:9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

Also, He is the Almighty God:
Ge 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

He is the Lord God: (too many verses)

He is an awesome God:
Ps 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Ps 33:8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

He is a redeeming God, a protective God:
Ps 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Ps 78:35 And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.
Isa 41:14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Isa 43:14a Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel;
Isa 47:4 As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.
Isa 48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
Jer 50:34a Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name:
(too many verses)

He is the ONLY God:
Isa 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Also, He is a merciful, gracious, longsuffering, good and truthful God:
Ex 34:6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

Well this could go on and on, so the next answer "He ___ from heaven above?"

He blesses us with blessings from heaven above. He is the reigning, all-powerful God from heaven above. (too many verses)
Ge 49:25a Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above,
De 4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
Jos 2:11 And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.
1Ki 8:23a And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath,
Ps 47:8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
Re 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

He is the God of gods:
De 10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords,

All these belong to Him:
Re 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
and so on...

Do I know it? Yes, I know it.
1Jo 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1Jo 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1Jo 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

How to tell if someone does not know:
Tit 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

I tried to pick out mostly the verses where God confesses these things.
