American English is not much different from the British English. It only has variation in the spoken words and a few words here and there have different spellings and some are even pronounced differently. The follwoing are a few examples :
colour - color
Schedule - pronounced like skejule
Football - soccer
Yes - yeah
No - nope
Policeman - cop, bobby
Biscuit - cookie, cracker, wafer, pretzel
Ground Floor - First Floor, street level
Petrol - gas
Then there are always slang words too.
Money - dough
And I am no expert.

American English is a dialect of the Queen's English spoken in England. It's spoken here in the United States. From what I hear, it sounds sharp, aggressive, and cacophonous to Englishmen and even Austrailians.
But honeslty, I have no idea what you're asking.

American English is supposed to be more 'user friendly' than British English, especially with respect to spelling. Eg. Sensitise (BE)-sensitize (AE), Colour (BE)-Color (AE)
