i'm on 1mg of risperdal. does anyone have any experience with it so i'll know what to expect?

Yea, I took Risperdal for two or three years. It is a psychotic drug and is used for other purposes as well. I noticed some trouble getting a rest full sleep at times and some general agitation at times. Over that length of time is did seem to work well with the antidepressant that I was taking. Taken as directed it should be no problem.

'I've been on 1 mg of risperidal (risperidone) for over 10 years. It's a neuroleptic anti-psychotic. It has less side effects than the neuroleptics I was on before, which gave me tardive diskenesia. It has worked well for me in preventing or alleviating the hallucinations of schizophrenia paranoia (DDD).It seems to have a little tendency to help you gain weight but that can be solved by just pushing away from the table. I have had no other side effects except a reduction in sexual capability, which in me may be do to old age.

I have taken it it made me real droswy and loopy and that was about it but that may reduce in time I didnt stay on it long it enough to find out I dont like feel sleepy all the time if you dont like it then tell your doctor and find something else

My son was on this medicine twice and both times he had uncontrollable movements and at one point his tongue swelled and I had to rush him to the hospital.

be careful it' not sleep medicine per say but it WILL MAKE YOU VERY SLEEPY
