the funny thing is that people say "be an individual and don't get a tattoo" more people don't have tattoos than people who do so how individual are you really being? i love beautiful tattoos whether they are on a man or a woman. i have tattoos and love them. i am super proud of the art that i have and i really don't care what other people think. of course it irks me when people put down or talk badly about people with tattoos, when they lump us all into a stereotype but hey, every sect of people have stereotypes to live with. as blair says "show your tats"

I think it is just a different form of self expression and whose to say what you do with your body and the skin on it except yourself. I think tattoos are for the most part beautiful, jail tat's and skull and cross bones Not withstanding. Wear your ink proud and if some one else doesn't like it they don't have to look at it.

These kinds of phobias - however they manifest themselves - are going to be with us a while. It's a pretty key part of our societal makeup, and arguably had a purpose earlier in our evolution.

Regardless, it's going to take a *long* time. There's positive incremental changes in the long run, even if it's sometimes two steps forward one step back. I suspect this aspect of it won't outlast a number of other more deeply embedded troubles, and likely it will lead to the whittling down of the bigger ones.
