You mean "There is no god but the God." I don't think this contradicts Christian beliefs or Jewish ones for that matter. We all claim to believe in the same God... the God of Abraham. We are all monotheistic religions, even if some people try to claim that Christians believe in more than one God... we don't. The trinity is a precise doctrine on the oneness of God in three persons, not of three separate Gods. It is just the other portion of the Islamic profession of faith "and Mohammed is his prophet" that Christians would probably not accept.

Besides the belief in the one God, we Christians and Muslims share many things in common. I think it a good idea to remember those things we share so that the differences won't cause us to continue to have stereotypes and be prejudiced against each other.

Why should it, God The Father God The Son God The Holy Spirit, in fact Hebrews 13:8 tells us Jesus Christ is forever and has been forever, John 1 tells us Jesus is the creative agent in the earths coming into being. John 14 says this:
14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Show us

No it doesn't contradict anything. A god can be anything. Money can be your god. Anything you put before God can be considered a false god.
