Does anyone else notice that Christians are for the most part very angry people? Especially the ones on Yahoo answers. What ever happened to turning the other Cheek and being humble. If your god is so real why don't any of you take his message seriously?

its an anger born of fear - the rational part of their brain must tell them how ludicrous their beliefs are, which cannot help but destabilize them

Not all Chrisitians are angry, I am a Christian and I am open minded, positive and loving. Your statment is a bit of an incorrect generalisation and isn't relevant to all Chrisitians, some Christians take every aspect of The Bible a bit too literally, which as most Chrisitians would know is not the best thing to do. And some are a bit old school and still try to covert everyone they see.
But such as myself and many others that I know, there are some great Christians around also :)

What do you call angry? What makes you think Christians are angry? From what I see on Y/A, it seems the non christians are the ones that have been angry at me and at other Christians.

Your phrase above, "if your god is so real why don't any of you..." seems like it is said with so much anger I can fell the sneer in your words.

Good always brings out anger from those on the evil side. The darkness hates the light. Anger is shown by sarcasm and derision.

The Christians on yahoo represent a tiny tiny fraction of a fraction of all Christians. They are hardly representative of Christianity at large.

In fact, if you look at most "Christian" nations, you'll see that most Christians are very sedated and don't care what is said or done about their religion because they are not very zealous in their faith.

Think of all those "art" exhibits that make the news every now and then with the Virgin Mary with dung on her or a Crucifix in a jar of urine. Sure, there was some outrage but imagine if some "artist" paints a picture depicting the Koran in a jar of unine?

And let's not forget the cartoonist who was killed in Europe for his cartoon of the Profet Mohommed.

Christians are generally the least angry of all religions, mainly because they are less devoted to their faith then others are.

Everyone is human--and anger is a valid emotion.

God and Jesus were both angry at times..

And I really haven't noticed Christians being more or less angry than non-Christians.

And turning the other cheek isn't about backing down (to me)--everyone should stand up for what they believe in--turning the other cheek is more of a metaphor. Like, don't practice the ways of your enemies--then you will only be like them. Instead, offer them forgiveness, etc.

If someone is as angry as you're saying, they may need to question whether they're truly Christians. Christians are supposed to trust God...trust that their lives are exactly as God has planned for it to be. Trust that the struggles are intended for us to learn. The Bible says often that Christians should be content and not grumble. My life is a struggle...I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast & the struggles since the hurricane just keep coming at me. I get down, and frustrated, but not angry. God knows what he's doing & why.

I know there are a number of so-called Christians that say things on here that I certainly do not approve of but I also see things coming from others that are now being ignored. I have also seen a number of Christians who stand up for the rights of others no matter what their faith or non-faith. I do not believe that you generalization sounds vary true to me. I have attempted to be courteous to others as much as is possible. Please do not put down people as a result of their religious beliefs, their age, or their race. This is just not right and I find it rather offensive. People deserve to be treated with respect whjenever possible. I personally do not believe that the largest part of my Christian or Muslim friends are or act as if the are "ANGRY". They are attempting to answer questions of people who may have true questions about their faith on this site. GOD created man then woman. HE gave us HIS WORD so that we would be able to read, study, and obey it with a little effort. HIS SON came so that we would be able to attain a place in Heaven with HIM. Please do not attempt to harm others on this site. We have a number of young people on here that do not deserve to be treated in this manner. Have a great evening and a wonderful LORD's DAY!!
Thanks,
Eds (A practicing Christian)

Christians aren't always angry.... maybe some of the ones on here that call themselves christians seem to be, but as a Christian, I can tell you that we aren't always angry! Sorry if you seem to think that! And our God is real .... or you wouldn't be here! ;0)

Actually I think there is a lot of anger on both sides. I've read a lot of questions about religion, that have really rude answers, as if the person asking the question has no right to believe in what he/she wants to.
