personally i don't think cats respond to the actual name but the tone of voice u use when you say the cats name (i kinda sing my cats name lol). I tried saying another name in the same voice and he still responded so i don't think it's a problem changing her name. Personally i like the name cassie but my cat is called smudge.

My cats were 5 y.o. when I got them and neither ever responded to the names they had been given. So now I just call them boy and girl--as in "oh, you're such a good boy" or "here, girl." And they do respond to those names (girl will come when called but boy won't if he's not called; boy will come when he's called, etc.) If your new cat responds to the name P.S., maybe just squish it around a little so you say Peace (sort of sounds like PS) or Peaches, Pia. Or, you can change the name to something you like better or that suits the cat better; if you call her the name enough she'll soon associate the sound as her name.

It became into so humorous when I went to get Milo from the shelter some months in the past. They positioned him in this field service and that i theory, that's no good, so I enable him out. Crawling around interior the vehicle so he could breathe. He saved getting on my stearing column and saved hitting the 'blinkers'. that's what i became into going to call him because of the fact of his movements and he's so rowdy. yet as time went on i observed he had the two maximum magnificent blue eyes i've got ever seen. as a result i theory greater effective than two times approximately Sinatra. Oh my infant blue eyed boy!~ So good-looking in his creme colored suite with marmelade tail, face and ears. rather he's orange. yet is physique is in many circumstances cream, yet i became into thinking orange tabby and how lots character he had and entering into each thing and basically wanting to be nosey. To detect the unknown, be attentive to what I mean? So, I remembered a action picture called "Milo and Otis". I basically enjoyed that action picture and that kitten jogged my memory an excellent sort of my Milo, as a result the call. additionally to be greater suiting to offer a male cat a greater acceptable male identify different than "Blinkers". LOL

Give her a name that closely sounds like P.S. Something with the s sound so she thinks she has the same name, and soon she will become familiar with her new name.

Get to know the cat first, a name will "happen" that fits her character. They are all very individual.
