As a single mom, I am searching for scholarships for my son for next year. He will be going into biology. Does anyone know of a good source to check out?

These websites have databases you can search for free if you sign up (so you will receive offers from their sponsors).
www.fastweb.com
www.scholarships.com (I think, the best.)
www.collegeboard.com
www.fastaid.com
www.wiredscholar.com

You can check fastweb.com or scholarships.com they are both free scholarship searches (never pay for a scholarship). Don't forget the basics of completing the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov which is also free and will qualify him for the Pell, SEOG, and federal loans. If he completed a rigourous high school program and is Pell eligible he may qualify for the ACG (a new grant) and if he stays in biology and stays Pell eligible he may qualify for another new grant the SMART grant his junior and senior year.

Scholarships are applied for as early as 10th grade... Google "scholarships" or try ask.com. YOu will be overwhelmed with the amount. Another good source is your son's Teacher or Counselor....
