I can't believe in God because there is so much pain and suffering in the world. Why do millions of people die, or have a horrible life? It doesn't make sense. Why would god put us on this planet just to watch us tear each other apart? If there is a god, he has a cruel sense of humor.

There is no evidence that there is a god. No evidence essentially means that someone made it up. It isn't rational or reasonable to believe in things without any evidence to back it up. You would be stuck with hundreds of thousands of gods and everything else that human imagination could come up with since they all have the same evidence.

Not believing in god is the same as not believing in Odin, Zeus, Ra, Hera, Bacchus, The Great Spirit, Osiris, The Flying Spaghetti Monster and all the others. I would be no less surprised of evidence of Odin was found than I would be if evidence of your god was.

Quite simple really. Show me tangible proof that he or she ever existed. Don't ask me to read the bible. Do you realize that if I tell a story in the morning at one end of a warehouse and at the end of the day I go to the other side of the warehouse I will probably get a completely different version of my story. That's in one day. The bible has been translated countless times over the centuries. I would love to believe in a "supreme' being, yet I have not been offered any logical proof.

Well, first I look through the evidence pointing to the existence of God and to the non-existence of God.

Then I realise that there is no scientific proof for either side.

I then shunt God into the mythological beings category, which also consists of faeries, unicorns, and werewolves (all of which have no evidence proving or disproving their existence), and decide to be an atheist.

Glaring lack of evidence.

The universe is not evidence or proof.
We are not evidence or proof.

Looking at a baby being born is not a beautiful thing, it's actually rather disgusting. A baby's face is not a miracle, it's proof its parents had sex.

So, pending the delivery of meaningful evidence, I do not believe.

Well, everyone has their own will. If they choose to believe in God, good for them. If not, oh well, that's them. To each is their own.

because I don'tr need some big sky monster to make me know what is right and wrong, i don't need a greater being to justify my actions, and I definitely don't need someone else to take credit for my accomplishments. I can do things all by myself. And i don't need to be 'rewarded' after i die for doing the right thing today. the accomplishment is reward enough

Which God? Books who say they are from God are evil.

I do believe in "God" and gods, just not the Christian perception of God. How come you can't believe in Leviathan, Thor, Zeus, and Hecate?
