i have windows vista. i need to put windows XP on it for one of my to work. and i need help

When you first formatted your HD make two partitions. Install one there and install the other one to another partitions. When you're installing the OS it will asked you where you want to install it, make both partitions primary.

either partition 1 drive or use 2 seperate hardisks

i'm not a computer expert but i dont think that's possible infact i'm almost sure you cant run two different windows systems on the same computer
