Source: Me. Note: I treat the war Veterans of today the way I was treated back in 1969. The Americans have taught me well. If it was OK back in 1969 to 1975 why not now?

So, you treat people who have fought to win freedom for some other country? How did you feel when you were treated like a piece of dog crap? Was it OK TO YOU for you to be treated like that? Would you feel it was OK to have someone to come up to you and spit a big snotty looey in your face, punch you, vandalize your home/vehicle for the simple reason you were assigned to a war zone?
Check out this website to see how REAL MEN (and women) treat our troops TODAY.
Personally, I think you have some serious problems that need psychological help.(just my opinion)

It was not OK then nor now. Do you think the war veterans of today are the idiots that treated you bad in 1969? Enough said, it is your right so do as you like. God will deal with all of us in the end.

I detect a hint of sarcasm here. I was not around back during the Vietnam War, however I do know people who fought in that war. I think that the outrage of the American people was misguided. I believe that the people should have been outraged at their government. They are the ones, in particular Nixon and Johnson, who decided to start the war and escalate it. They are also the ones who botched it. The soldiers were caught between a rock and a hard place . If they went the people would harass them when they got back. If they didn't, the government would throw them in jail for insubordination. I don't blame the soldiers one bit, just the people in charge.

Because it was not OK back in 69-75, and it is not OK today!

I was also a vet back then and got a lot of flack from people never experienced anything more than carrying a sign and making salava, and it hurt, because I was doing what had to be done for my country. I was raise to respect my country and my flag and my elders and people in uniform.

You treat vets like dirt, don't be suprised if you get treated the same.

It was wrong to treat the vets that way back then , and you, being an adult, should know it is wrong to do so now to the Iraq war veterans. My god havent you matured at all in your 50 plus years on this earth?

you would think that since it happened to you, you wouldnt let it happen to others...you are just bitter, and since you say that you hate repulibicians so much because they do that today too, then you, which im guessing you are a democrat just proved that everyone does it...you are a hypocrite.

i am sorry no one said thank you to you, but if i were alive then i would have...and i would have now if you wouldnt have said that...im not so sure that you deserve that kind of respect now!

have you ever heard that your supposed to treat people like you want to be treated. These are people fighting for your Freedom and you don't even have the dignity or respect for them to treat them nicely. What does that say about your character? If your doing what people did to you then how are you preventing this problem?

Because you are a farking prick who cant realize that those soldiers are just doing their job. It isn't their fault they were sent. If you want to treat anyone badly treat the government that way. These soldiers are protecting your way of life as you know it and you should respect everyone of them.
