Because they were made up by the clergy class to get people to donate money and have nothing to do with the bible teachings.
When Adam sinned God told him "for dust you are and to dust you will return." Nothing was said about a hell fire torment.
1Timothy 3:2 says that an overseer should be a husband of one wife. So to say they should not be married is wrong. If the chosen ones were gone what difference would it make how long it took?

We call it the Rapture because when the Bible was translated into Latin, this was the term that was used. Celibacy is a tradition that was started by man. Trinity is a manmade concept of God.This was started at the Nicean Council 325 A.D. to decide who God was. They came up with this idea of who God was, and who Jesus was, they never got around to the Holy Ghost. I have a copy of the original creed. It is contradictory at best. They only recite a portion of it in our Lutheran Churchs around here. The Apostles Creed was written 450 years after the Apostles were gone. We are sheep being led to the slaughter.
