I think they are doing what we all should be doing, and what they have a perfect right to do. If you don't like watching them, don't watch.

I think it is fine. I can't say that I say grace before meals, but I thank God through out the day for all the blessing He has sent into my life. I guess it was just a habit my family never did when I was growing up, so I feel strange doing it at meals, it seems forced to me.

When I'm with my family in a restaurant, we always say the grace. I commend anyone who blesses their food because it is giving thanks to God for giving them the resources to be able to eat the food. Blessing the food won't make the food taste any different than not blessing it.

I think it's kindof nice to see people being willing to practice their religion in public as well as private. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one who likes to be showy or anything. But then, I've asked myself if just because I'm in public, does that mean I need to hide who I am? That's a good question for me. I actually say grace over my food before I go out because I don't want to offend anyone or have anyone think I'm doing it to show that I'm religious, when my real reasons are sincere and not for the purpose of showing. But perhaps there are others out there who have gotten over the whole image thing and decided to be who they are whether they are in public or private.

Rarely do I see someone saying grace at a restaurant, but if I did, I would probably think they were practicing-Christians who have been brought up with the habit of thanking God before every meal.

Off topic: As opposed to the Judeo-Christian custom of thanking God for food, Native Americans used to thank the spirit of the animal--the animal god, so to speak--after a hunt. After all, the animal itself is what is providing you with sustenance.

Tempt ME to say a blessing? Dude, if your food is THAT bad that you think you need God's help with it, then you should stay away from McDonald's in the first place!

For the record, I NEVER bless my food. What's the point? When I see people praying, it's like sheep praying to hamburgers.

I think its sweet. When I was a waitress I'd sometimes be bringing out drinks or food to a table and find them saying a blessing. I'd just wait for a minute out of their way until they finished and bring them their stuff. I always thought it was a kind of spiritual break for me where I could step back and think about something besides the jerk at table 7.

What I think is dependent on how loud and obnoxious they are about it. If they're quiet, it doesn't bug me at all - each to their own.

It doesn't prompt me to say anything. I also don't say blessings over my food. I give my thanks everyday by taking care of our planet the best I can. I cherish and appreciate the earth, as if it were a gift.

My family and I always pray before we eat. I don't see many people in restaurants saying Grace but it makes me happy when I do.

May God Bless you.

I very rarely eat without giving thanks to the Lord for what I eat. Whether in a restaurant or at home.
Apart from acknowledging God's provision, which is just, I have seen people who have gone without. Some people would say I was deprived at one time - eating only porridge for months. However, I had the porridge. Some would do anything for a bowl of porridge.
