Hypothetically, at that point I would admit I was wrong. I would say "I am sorry." and "please forgive me".. Perhaps I would plead for the souls of my family members to be saved, etc.

This goes under the If I Had A Dollar For Every Time This Was Asked category.
But since I'm feeling generous, I'll humor you.
I'd ask, "Well, how have I been doing?" I GUARANTEE if there is a heaven, and we're judged by the quality of our being, then I'm a shoe-in WELL before any televangelist and most Christians.
However, your question forces me to ASSUME there is a God. So my return question is this:
Assume, hypothetically if you will, that there actually are NO GODS AT ALL. Never were, and we made them all up. Could you still live your life without a religious "security blanket" to fall back on, or are you strong enough to keep living a good life?
Can you even conceptualize it? It's only a fair question, wouldn't you agree? I've been Christian before, but have you ever NOT been one?

so, what was up with that forbidden fruit thing?
And now we're on that, how about Job. That was messed up. Since when is messing with believer's lives just to win a wager with the Devil acceptable.
And on that topic, since you created everything, why did you let the devil run free?
And why were you so invisible? Couldn't some kind of manifestation have convinced more people instead of leaving 4.4 billion out of 6.5 billion in the dark?
And what was that about asking Abraham to kill his son for you? Are you insane? No good god would ask that of any believer, ever.
And finally, what about Jesus. Did you think killing your own son was a good idea?
You are one messed up, sick god. I'm staying with Zoltar, at least he likes beer.

If I found myself standing face to face with God, I would no longer be an atheist.

Hypothetically? OK. I'd ask him why he NEEDED people to worship him and then gave them every reason to not only NOT believe, but to not want to worship him even if they did. And why he thought anyone would want to spend eternity with someone who delibrately tried to make you burn in hell.

I'd most likely think I was hallucinating.
As strange as it might seem, I'd want scientific evidence (gained from experiments guided strictly by the scientific method) pointing to his existence before I'd want him/her/it to appear before me while questioning my opinion on a god.

Well just be a good person and you wouldn't really have to worry about seeing God I would think. I would say "I tried my best to be a good person" but seriously I wouldn't have a clue to say.

How do you choose who to let suffer and who to save?
Why do you heal some people, and let others die a painful death?
Why is it a bigger sin to not believe in you than it is to believe but not follow your words?
~I guess I would have quite a few questions for him/her/it~

I'd question god's existence, to god. Maybe then I could get some real proof, none of this it's in the bible, or its faith stuff.

Where the Hell have you been?
Why do you need to hide?
What's the deal with all the cruelty
and Why do you feel the need to send me to Hell?
Of course i'd be scared to death but at the same
time I'd be infuriated!
