Colleges usually require a GED to be admitted into an Associate Degree level program. However, most Community Colleges offer GED courses and exams to the public, without being admitted.

Check with your local Department of Education office. They should have a listing of schools that offer GED courses.

NY city or NY state? I know Finger Lakes Community College (in Canandaigua) and Monroe Community College (in Rochester) do.
