Do they practice it by mocking Christians?

That would depend on the unbeliever. You can't attribute any one characteristic/action to any particular group. No individual is perfect, therefore, no particular group/sect could possibly have the exact same actions/practices.

If unbelievers made wild, unfounded claims, claimed to have the support of an invisible almighty being backing their beliefs, and claimed that people who disagreed with them were going to be punished for it, yes, I'd expect Christians to mock those unbelievers.

However, the atheists who mock Christians are not by any stretch of the imagination doing what the Christians who mock atheists here are doing. If you say "2+2= 368" and I laugh at you for saying that, it's not at all the same as if I'd said "2+2 =4" and you'd laughed at me for saying that. Truth isn't relative, no matter how badly the Christians want to believe that it is.

Do Christians believe in do unto others as you would have them do unto you? Do they practice it by mocking unbelievers? This question could go back and forth all day and both sides would be guilty as charged.

Actually, the "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" long predates Christianity and is just plain common sense. You might be surprised to learn that there are millions and millions of people on earth who are not Christians, and yet treat each other with respect and kindness.

if the "golden rule" is something that you believe in, and you truly are hurt by being mocked, why do you ask this question in a way that mocks, or makes fun of, their morals?

i wonder what interesting responses you might get if you asked that question in an unbiased way.

please be careful that what you are putting out into the world is helping it become closer to a world you would choose to live in.

take care

Christians deserve to be mocked. When christians give the same respect to other religions as they demand for their own, then they in turn will be respected. I see no signs of that happening in the near future.

Yes everybody believes in that rule. You know something the more you and certain Christians who like to go on your little childlike attacks the less and less I like the religion of Christianity. The less and less i start to like your religion the further away I start pulling away from Christianity. I think you are gonna have a lot of fun in dealing with some angry Christians.

That's the Golden Rule.

There's also the Ultarianism way (weigh the pros and cons then make a decision).

Consider this: A girl love cupcakes. If anyone had them, she'd love for them to share with her.

Now imagine she has cupcakes with her. She's in a class - her class hates cupcakes. But if she were to follow the Golden Rule she'd share her cupcakes with them anyway.

Ulitarians would say she doesn't need to share because then she'll be happy with her cupcakes and her classmates won't be treated negatively in any way.

Not all "unbelievers" mock Christians. I'm Buddhist and altruism is a significant part of practice.

There's a form of this in just about every other religion.

Karma.

Reap what you sow.

I've never considered someone not believe what I believe as being the same as mockery. It's just others expressing their opinions the same as anyone else.
