If she was a good person and we liked each other, I would talk to my mate first see how he felt about it and then go from there. Some friends can be cool with it, really happy with it, or not ok with it at all.
I would look for Family Values most of all in a girl.
Being old fashion I don't like to be asked out. They guy seems to and always has done a good job of doing that first. Not to say that a girl can't do just as good of a job.

Well the last person i would like to go out with is my mate's sis. it is too complicated and whatever happens it will backfire on my friendship.
BUT if she is really cool, and i see a serious perspective in a relation with her i would reconsider :D

Heh, I actually went through a similar case. I fell in love with my best friend's sister. He was totally fine with it, but I couldn't take hanging around him, because I would always think about her, so *I* actually cut off ties with him.
